What You Will Do
In this role, you will lead key accounting functions and ensure operational excellence for internal and client projects. Your work will support accurate reporting, improve systems, and help Optima and its clients scale with confidence.
Responsibilities include:
• Leading month-end close processes, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Developing and refining accounting policies and operational strategies
• Collaborating with external auditors and ensuring compliance
• Supporting ERP upgrades or accounting system transitions
• Preparing financial reports, tax support documents, and audit schedules
• Recommending improvements to processes and internal controls
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive accounting leader who can balance big-picture thinking with strong technical execution.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• CPA or MBA is a plus
• 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, and month-end processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and various accounting systems
• Experience with client service, team management, and internal controls
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

• Hourly pay between $45 and $50, based on experience
