What You Will Do

As a Staff Accountant at Optima, you'll support daily and monthly accounting functions for a variety of client accounts. You’ll gain valuable exposure to different industries and systems, while being supported by an experienced team that has your back.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing financial statements and general ledger reconciliations

• Creating journal entries, processing invoices, and managing payables

• Supporting month end close and reporting processes

• Entering accounts payable and receivable transactions

• Responding to client and vendor inquiries in a timely, professional manner

• Assisting with audits, tax prep, and financial data gathering

• Recommending process improvements and helping standardize accounting procedures


What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required (Associate’s with strong experience considered)

• 1 to 3 years of accounting or finance experience preferred

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting tools

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Clear communication and a proactive mindset

• Familiarity with platforms like Appfolio, Netsuite, Intacct, Yardi, or Deltek is a plus


Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay between $25 and $28, depending on experience

• Full time or part time schedule with hybrid flexibility
