Brittany Kirchner has roots growing up in two different areas: Encinitas, California and Los Barriles, Baja California. She spent most of her childhood outside either surfing or riding horses. Today Brittany has three horses of her own and still competes in horseback riding competitively. She loves surfing with her son, Kieran, and spending time with their animals more than anything.
Brittany has been in the salon business for a total of 16 years and a hairstylist for 10. Brittany and Jenn, Optima CEO and Founder, have known each other for several years. Britt started her journey with Optima one day after styling Jenn’s hair. She recalls, "I have always admired Jenn’s work ethic and the powerhouse woman she is. She told me her plans for launching Optima, and later that day I got to thinking, wow that is something I would love to be apart of!” Brittany emailed Jenn expressing her interest and excitement for the new firm. She continues, “A week later, I came to her house. We chatted, and she gave me an opportunity at the firm! I was so excited and ready to learn as I embarked on this new adventure of accounting."
Now, Brittany is a Bookkeeper and serves as Internal Admin. She loves the company and her favorite part about it are the people she works with. She states, “I feel so grateful to be on the Optima team. Jennifer and the team have been so supportive and helpful through my learning process.”
Brittany lives in Solana Beach with her boyfriend, their two dogs, her son Kirean, and a lizard.
Her own personal values, and the ones she instills on her son are to respect other people; love yourself; know your worth; be giving; be loving; always keep a positive outlook in any situation; and always try your best. Britt’s formula for success first includes thinking, then trying, then doing, then doing again, and again, and again. After steadfast perseverance, the result is success.
The mantra Brittany lives her life by is:
There is beauty in a breakdown. No matter the challenge it is an opportunity for us to grow. Take that opportunity and bloom.
