Minimum Wage Rates: Effective Jan 1, 2022


Goodbye 2021 and Hello 2022!

Do you know what the minimum wage for 2022 will be in California and in San Diego? As with every year, we have a few HR updates for 2022 that every business should know.

Some parts of California, including San Diego, have their own minimum wages, which will require all employers to pay a minimum of $15 per hour, regardless of size, effective January 1, 2022.

SCHEDULE FOR CA MINIMUM WATE RATE 2022-2023
Minimum Wage for Employers with 26 or More Employees

  • 1/1/2022 = $15/hr
  • 1/1/2023 = $15/hr

Minimum Wage for Employers with 25 or Fewer Employees

  • 1/1/2022 = $14/hr
  • 1/1/2023 = $15/hr
