October Team Spotlight: Meet Ashley Jajtner

Ashley was born and raised in San Diego, CA and enjoys spending time with her family outdoors. When the time came to go to college, she attended the University of California San Diego (UCSD) for both her undergraduate and Master's degrees.

After enjoying an accounting class she took in general education, Ashley started working as a part-time bookkeeper in a restaurant she waited tables at in college. She received her undergraduate degree in Management Science, her Master’s in Accountancy and has a CPA license. She has worked in various industries such as software, agriculture, property management, and professional services.  Starting as a Staff Accountant, she worked her way up to Controller and then to a Director of Accounting during her career..Ashley joined Optima Office on the recommendation of a colleague, and it’s been one of the greatest career moves she has made.

Ashley enjoys feeling accomplished and is always keeping in mind her future goals.  Providing meaningful data that brings clarity to a team or business owner is a great feeling. She appreciates the opportunity to have a balanced life while working at Optima. Remembering all the little nuances of each client can get complicated, but it adds so much interest and excitement to the day and she has been lucky to work with clients that are both fun and incredibly competent.

Outside of Optima, Ashley has a husband and two awesome kids that she enjoys hiking, kayaking and camping with. Ashley is also working on her next certification....in wine! She is currently studying to become a Certified Specialist of Wine and helps out at a local winery in Escondido, cheers!
