Denise was born and raised in the small town of Normal, Illinois. After college, she spent many years in the Chicago area and Dallas, before moving to Carlsbad 13 years ago.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA with a specialization in Finance and Information Systems from Loyola University, Chicago. She passed the CPA exam in the state of Illinois.
In her spare time, Denise loves to spend time outdoors. She enjoys tennis, running, hiking, and biking. She always likes to have a physical challenge on her calendar. It gives her something to look forward to and train for. Right now, she is looking forward to hiking Rim to Rim in the Grand Canyon in October 2020. She is also training to run in the Ventura Marathon with her 3 sons this year.
She has been an Accounting Manager with Optima for a little over a year now and has over 20 years’ experience in corporate accounting and finance. She enjoys the flexible work schedule that Optima offers. This allows her to balance her personal and professional life.
She has been married for many years and has 3 sons, ages 19, 22, and 24.
