Announcing the finalists of the 2019 Databird Female Executive of the Year Awards: Jennifer Barnes, CEO & Founder Optima Office

Each year Databird Business Journal invites people to nominate women, who over the past 12 months, have displayed outstanding leadership and significant contributions to their careers. 

Jennifer Barnes is the CEO of Optima Office, Inc., an accounting and HR services company that she founded in October 2018.  Optima has more than 65 employees and near 150 clients nationwide. Mrs. Barnes has held a number of Controller and Director of Accounting positions at privately held for-profit and non-profit companies.  She currently serves as on the boards of the Better Business Bureau of the Pacific Southwest and the San Diego chapter of Junior Achievement.  

She was recently a finalist for NAWBO’s 2019 Business Woman of the year and SDBJ’s 2019 Woman of the year. Her firm is also a finalist for the UT’s Best Place to Work and was #7 in the Nation for Best Place to Work for Females.
