Meet Shannon Hall, Optima Office Senior Accounting Manager

Shannon was born in Whitter, CA, and moved to Arizona when she was five years old. She spent her childhood in Arizona, then moved back to Whittier for high school so that she could obtain residency to attend a CA college. Shannon decided to go to Monterey Bay because of how beautiful it was, and it was the furthest CA school from her family home. She enrolled as a Psychology major and after her first semester, she switched to Business Administration because she decided she could do more with a business degree.

Shannon has a four-year-old son, so these days her focus is mainly on work and taking her son to his activities. Her favorite and most competitive sport was rugby, which she played for 13 years. She still enjoys going out from time to time for tournament play. She also really enjoys playing tennis and going on hikes. Shannon loves to travel and has been to Brazil, Japan, Costa Rica, Mexico, and most of the United States.

She fell into accounting while in college by working with a real estate business that used Quickbooks. She learned the basics of how to use the software. Before joining Optima, Shannon worked for a product development company where she not only did accounting, but also managed HR, IT, and Marketing, as part of the executive team in charge of business planning and strategy.

She is a Senior Accounting Manager with Optima. “The companies culture fits perfectly with my ideals and values that the company allows an opportunity for growth, while also being flexible and invested in a work-life balance. There are countless ways that the company is an excellent place to work!”
